A woman’s (and I mean ALL women, cisgender and trans) autonomy is not up for debate. Yet today, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade—stripping away a fundamental right and forcing millions into uncertainty, fear, and an unrelenting fight.
It may be the American judicial system doing its job, but, as a man, this is morally wrong. Wrong that the rights and bodily autonomy of all women are up for debate and control, yet men can do whatever the hell they want.
Make it make sense. And I say this as a man whose suppose to technically shut up and enjoy the privilege of being a man. While all women have to navigate a medical world clearly never built (but should have been included) for women – one that still seems to discount women’s health issues as nothing more than “just stress.”
Not as long as I’ve alive on this Earth.
No man should ever have the power to make laws over a woman’s body. Ever.
Her body. Her choice. Not any man’s to decide.
By the way, if using the First Amendment in my own home, my own privacy, my own website/blog – only me alone – is considered ‘an agenda’, then the United States Constitution would like a word with you.
