Why The Archive Exists

I read the March 26th CNN investigation slowly.

It documented online networks where acts of sexual violence were being discussed, shared, and normalized by men.

Not because it was long, but because it was difficult to move through.

What stayed wasn’t only the scale, though that was both horrific and staggering. It was the structure — the sense that this was being taught, repeated, and absorbed over time.

I’m with all women.

Reading this, it isn’t difficult to understand why trust can be complicated, or why it isn’t given freely.

The archive I’m building isn’t a response to any single event. But moments like this clarify why it exists at all.

To hold women’s lives as they are lived — without interruption, without dismissal, and without asking them to prove what has already happened.
